Here's a biography of the signers from 1846.

Such democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths.

The Lives Of The Signers Of The Declaration Of Independence

This used to be required reading in elementary schools and was originally published in 1829. Read it here online for free!

This is the primer for Founders Fridays.

Interesting story between John Adams, and Thomas Jefferson, and how they patched up their differences later in life.

Founders Fridays, Black Founders Part 1

There was a second show on this topic, and both are very revealing to our history, and just how integrated things were as opposed to today.

Founders Fridays, George Washington Part 1

The comment left there is based on the 1926 "progressive" revisionist book that was refuted the following year, but guess what book is more read, and referenced, even though proven to be a collection of falsehoods.

Originally, I tried to just use the URL, but that left it blank in the post where you type and add links, and what not.

Next, I tried to use the embedded code, and the vid would show up in the preview, but when I would click to post the new reply, it would leave the reply blank. Frown

What I wanted to upload, were the youtube links for Founders Fridays. I'm not a huge GB fan, but his little Founders Fridays series was great! And lots of info on the Founders that they covered, but he quit it too soon.

On a sidenote, your quote from Samuel Adams is a little incorrect on verbage used. I know it by heart, and recite at our TP meetings as a reminder to the principles of the Republic. Wink

It should read:

"If ye love wealth better than Liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us peace. We ask not you councels, nor your arms; crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye, were our countrymen."

Such democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths.

Ok, it appears that the only way to make it work is to use the embed code over on that third tab over.  For some reason, it won't work just by using the URL.  I'll look into that and see if I can figure out how to fix it.

Are you trying to embed a video?  I know how to do that with blog posts…haven't tried it here.  Give me a minute to see what's going on.
