I really have not delved into modern day Gaza. The politics is all that I have paid attention to, mainly because I believe that after the 1967 war with Egypt and it's backers, anything that Israel gained was spoils of war. It you don't want to lose anything, don't pick a fight. If you lose the fight, don't go pissing and moaning about "so-and-so took my land!" It's called spoils of war! You started the fight, you lost. Put on you big boy diaper and shut up. Maybe you should try making peaceful in-roads and buy the land back. Thoughts?

I'd say you're pretty much spot on Michael.  People don't seem to get the concept of "spoils of war".  This is how the world has operated for eons.  Whoever wins the war, wins the rights to whatever they want.  We have gone in and changed the game to say "we'll feel sorry for you so we'll help you clean up the mess."  FORGET THAT!  You gain no respect that way and your enemies will only exploit your "kindness" (read: weakness).  I'm sick of the way we've been doing business.  Go in, obliterate the enemy, and GTF out!

So I had lunch with a friend today who just got off of a 4 week cruise.  This cruise took her to places like Turkey, Italy, Greece, and Israel.  When I asked my friend about Israel, I did my darndest not to make it political, so I didn't even ask about Gaza (mainly because I really didn't think she would have seen it).  But could you imagine that the cruise line actually books excursions in the Gaza Strip???  I mean, the place where so many people are malnourished, mistreated, and murdered by those evil Israelis every day??  Excursions to THAT Gaza?

Yes my friends, she visited that Gaza.  And do you know what she had to tell me about it?  Well, look to the title of this article.  "Gaza is nice!"  My friend told me that she kept looking around for all those oppressed people and she couldn't find them.  Nor could she find anything that resembled extreme poverty or suffering people.  She said Gaza was quite nice aside from it being a little dirty.

Imagine that.  Gaza is such a horrible place that a cruise company would risk the lives of their customers to offer excursions there.  The horror.

Those evil Israelis.
